What’s up, deTerra peeps?

Crimbo is so close now we can barely contain our excitement. And as it’s a time of goodwill and caring, we’ve decided to give you guys a helping hand planning your kitchen. We couldn’t leave you to face this mammoth task alone so below we’ve listed a few things to think about when planning your natural kitchen:

Take a look around. Appreciate your kitchen and the space you have (or not if it’s in pieces…). And now imagine how much better it could look with the right love and attention. Consider the existing fixtures (if there are any) such as power points, windows and doors, and their location in the room. Play around with ideas and combinations – trust us, the more you do this the happier you’ll be with your finished design.

It’s always best to make a rough plan of your ideal kitchen. Think about your budget – are you starting completely from scratch or just sprucing up an existing design? What’s the finished look going to be? Yes, yes, woody and wonderful (naturally!) but what timber; colour; size; shape; cabinet; design… you get the picture. These things are important, especially when it comes to ordering products.

Storage units

How much storage space would you like and where’s it going to go? We have an array of wooden kitchen units for sale: from full height, to wall, base and specialist cabinets – there’s enough choice here to completely accommodate your kitchen requirements.

Some other points to consider:

  • If you’re painting the walls too, why not go for a neutral colour? This way you can paint your cabinet frontals any accent colour and match it with some accessories.
  • Think about how functional and busy you want your kitchen to be – make sure you leave enough room for appliances to be installed.
  • Order as far in advance as possible. This way, you can be certain you’ll have it installed in time!

Well that’s us over and out for the holidays. Time for you to get crackin’ – hopefully we’ve given you enough to get started. Place your order today and receive delivery in next to no time. We’re sure you won’t regret it: wooden kitchens are for life, not just for Christmas.

Wishing each and every one of you the merriest of Christmasses – you all deserve it!

accessorise your oak kitchensHey there peeps,

One of our most favouritest things about oak kitchens is how easy they are to accessorise. Solid wood is super gorge and will never ever ever go out of style; plus it’s also tremendously versatile, making it easy to mix and match accessories as you please.

Take our kitchen unit doors, for example. There a bazillion ways you can pretty up a run of cabinetry; a pilaster here and a well-placed end panel there and ta-da! Your cabinets look like they have been finished and styled by a pro (which they have, of course – you!)

If all this talk of accessorising has whetted your appetite, boy oh boy have we got a treat for you, because our frontal accessories page is now live! Simply visit the page and peruse our lovingly-designed range of pilasters, cornices, pelmets, end panels and corner posts, clickety-click to order and soon these babies will be all yours. Can’t say fairer than that – in fact I might have to go and check it out for myself…
