New Kitchen Showrooms Coming soon

Happy New Year one and all!

As we near the end of what has been a fabulous year at deTerra Kitchens, Cabineto and I are very excited to be able to let all of our lovely customers know about two exciting new destinations in which to view our oak kitchens in 2016.

From January 4th customers in Warrington, Cheshire and Redhill, Surrey, will be able to visit the newest of our deTerra showrooms; both locations are undergoing their final preparations and will soon be ready for visitors wishing to view our fine solid oak kitchens.

The Warrington showroom is situated approximately 10 minutes from Junction 10 of the M62 motorway, and is the ideal location for customers in Liverpool, Manchester and the surrounding areas.

Our new Redhill showroom is located close to Junction 8 of the M25, and is easily accessible for customers in South London and across the South East of England.

Both of our new showrooms are also home to local kitchen component distribution depots, which makes it even easier to deliver solid wood kitchen accessories such as our wooden worktops directly to our customers.

We’ll have more details of the showrooms over on our solid oak kitchens showrooms page as soon as they are available, and will share all the information on our Facebook and Twitter pages, too.

For now, please let us take this opportunity to wish you a very happy New Year from everyone at deTerra Kitchens!

Ta ta for now,

Have yourself a merry little Christmas in natural kitchens

It’s Christmas!

Cabineto and I were starting to think St. Nick would never come, but then we have been getting overly excited ever since our first whiff of Christmas back in October.

Now that the little solid oak terror has finished opening all his presents and is already making good headway on the first round of the mince pies, all that remains is for both of us – and the whole team at deTerra Kitchens – to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

There’s plenty to look forward to in 2016, including some exciting new showroom locations, and a range of new products that you’ll no doubt hear about before anyone else right here on the blog – so stay tuned!

If you’re celebrating Christmas in style in your natural kitchens, we’d love to see some photos; why not share them with us on Twitter or over on our Facebook page?

Ta ta for now,

Britain’s tallest Christmas tree has a special purpose – and wouldn’t fit in solid wood kitchens!

Season’s greetings kitchen lovers!

Seeing as the festive season is nearing its peak, I thought I’d share an interesting fact I learnt about Britain’s tallest Christmas tree with you here on our humble little solid wood kitchens blog.

Situated in Wakehurst Place near Ardingly, West Sussex, the UK’s largest living festive tree stands at around 110ft tall and is a 120 year old giant redwood – a species usually found on the west coast of America.

Every year a team of arboriculturalists spend an entire day decorating the tree with more than 1,800 LED bulbs at the site run by Kew Gardens.

After the decorations were switched on to mark Wakehurst’s Glow Wild Lantern Festival on December 4th, the tree has now been used as a beacon for planes landing at nearby Gatwick Airport, with the illuminations lighting up between 6am and 8am and from 3.30pm until midnight every day until the Twelfth Night of Christmas.

So not only will this stunning tree be lighting up the skies of Southern England this Christmas, it’ll also be helping to guide many thousands of people safely into one of the UK’s busiest airports!

Today is the final pre-Christmas delivery day for our dedicated two-man delivery team, so if you happen to see them driving around your part of the country, give them a toot and a wave – they’ll be very happy to see some Christmas cheer from our fabulous customers!
